Often considered a delicacy, rabbit meat is white, fine grained, and delicately flavored. It also is high in protein and low in fat, cholesterol, sodium, and calories. Tender and lean with low cholesterol and sodium, rabbit meat is an excellent protein source. Though it is a staple of Italian and French kitchens, rabbit meat is a rarer pleasure in the U.S. You will find that the light and tender meat works well in any season, and is easy to prepare.
Our spacious clean and dry barn affords our rabbits safety and spacious areas to have nests and raise their young. They are warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Predators are no worry for our animals
We feed non-gmo quality local hay and nutritious rabbit pellets. They also get free-choice Icelandic kelp. Kelp provides a real boost to animal health and well-being. Kelp is so popular with small farmers and homesteaders due to the fact that it is rich in micronutrients and vitamins.
